Tattypuss Update 1st August: Helen Rhodes Art
Saturday, 28 July 2012 | Tattypuss
Helen is an accomplished independent artist living and working in rural Leicestershire. Her work has been exhibited nationally since 1994, and her greeting cards have won the Imperial Cancer card competition two years in succession.
Her work has a distinctive style, combining unusual patterns with rich colours to produce unique and thought-provoking images.
Helen has two cats of her own, these appeared in many of her earlier works, as well as on Dunoon's fine bone china mugs. Most of these works are unfortunately no longer available.
We currently have two very different limited edition prints, both (of course) featuring cats. Butterfly Kiss is consistent with Helen's trademark style, portraying a white cat gazing at butterflies in a dreamy landscape. Love Cats on the other hand is a quirky 'one-off'. A family of four highly colourful and stylised cats siting side by side, displaying their hearts on their tummies and grinning contentedly. Love cats is also available as a very special greeting card.
You can see Helen's designs at Tattypuss here.
Helen is in the process of moving her web-site, her new site can be viewed here: www.helenrhodes.artweb.com, however as we publish it is still not quite complete.
